As the festive lights twinkle and 2023 gently wraps itself in the warm embrace of memories, I find myself filled with gratitude and feel so fortunate that I've been able to share these past 12 months with you. We've had quite the journey and together we've laughed, we've cried and we've vowed to take on the world and create a better, kinder and happier place.
I am well aware how tough this year has been on us all and the truth is, we have found this last quarter to be incredibly difficult. So many external factors, including the cost of living crisis and the political turmoil, have contributed to an increasing economic pressure, on top of what was expected to be a tough year anyway. For us, this quarter has perhaps been one of the most challenging we've ever been through.
It is situations like these that make me particularly appreciate the strength and unwavering support of our Cocorose community. Your orders, kind reviews and fierce loyalty are the foundation of our survival and success and as a family business, we are deeply touched by your decision to make us a part of your everyday lives 🙏💖
As I reflect on this year, I would like to share just some of our Cocorose highlights that have made 2023 truly special for us.
Launching Our New Plant-Powered Collection
With the support of Innovate UK, we researched, developed and tested all year behind the scenes in order to proudly unveil our
Plant-Powered Desert Rose Collection and Kew range which we launched just a couple of weeks ago. Our Plant-Powered collection reflects our commitment to sustainability and innovation and is a great example of how businesses of any size can work towards treading lighter and helping to contribute to a greener future. Celebrating a Year of Achievements🏆
Throughout the year, we've been honoured (and very excited!) to have been shortlisted finalists and winners of several prestigious national awards, including the Best Businesswomen Awards, the National Women's Business Awards, the SME National Business Awards and the Corp LiveWire Innovation&Excellence Awards. We were delighted to win Best Product, Most Influential Business Woman, Best Female Fashion Entrepreneur and, as mentioned above, win an Innovate UK grant for our Plant-Powered project. Receiving such high accolades and recognition continues to motivate us to keep pushing boundaries and deliver excellence, especially in the very challenging business environment of recent years.

Empowering Lives: Over £40k Raised for Honeypot 🍯💰
This year, we launched our new and highly anticipated
Hoxton Queen Bee leather trainers and our l
uxury, hand-poured natural wax Buzz candle. Since our partnership began with The Honeypot Children's Charity, our collective efforts have raised over £40k, with the recent Christmas Appeal week bringing in an impressive £3,431. Thank you for continuing to shop our Honeypot collection, which is making a meaningful impact on the lives of young carers and children in need.
Community Connection: Local Sponsorship and Support 🏡
Local communities are the backbone of our society and this year, Cocorose proudly sponsored the Muswell Hill Christmas Tree and actively participated in local schools' Winter Fairs, contributing to their fundraising efforts. In collaboration with small businesses in Muswell Hill, we organised a fantastic raffle that raised over £700 for The Honeypot Children's Charity during a summer street party.
