The Style Files: Royal Ascot 2012

As any fashionista or avid horse racing fan would know it was the first day of Royal Ascot 2012 yesterday, and as the event played special tribute to Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee, we've been watching with great interest what the ladies and gents were wearing.
Especially as this year marked the introduction of an appropriate attire dress code and featured uber stylish 'fashion police' (yes they do exist!) who were on hand to provide free attire if outfits did not fit the bill. In the royal enclosure, hats were an absolute must, strapless dresses were a miss and modestly lengthened skirts were in, but we are pleased to see that the new rules did not put a dampener on the style credentials of many...
