A New Year, New Things to See!
Happy New Year Cocorosers!
We hope you had a fantastic New Year with plenty of celebrations; we definitely did! It’s that time of year again, the time when you can’t go two minutes before hearing about someone’s New Year’s resolution; the detox diet or the new gym membership (let’s see how long until the chocolate begins to call and the sofa seems all the more appealing than the gym!). So Cocorose London have decided to make a slightly different type of resolution this year. Following in the footsteps of London Unfolded, 2013 is to be the year of exploring and discovering more of London and the wonders it has to offer. Why not take advantage of this busy and exhilarating city? We kicked off our resolution by walking our cute Cocorose London ballet pumps to the actual ballet to see Matthew Bourne’s latest offering, Sleeping Beauty. Matthew Bourne is known for his wonderful and wacky productions and adding modern twists to classic tales. Sleeping Beauty was no exception. This gothic and supernatural love story includes not only fairies but vampires too! The dancing and choreography are spectacular and the costumes are breath-taking; an all-round fantastic show! Now, we don’t want to spoil the show for those of you who either already have tickets or are now very tempted to go but we will say it is definitely worth a watch. We liked how Matthew’s zany and creative interpretations reminded us of our own contemporary touches to the classic ballet flat. Anyone else got a New Year’s Resolution they’d like to share?
