My mobile phone was stolen in central London over the weekend and, putting emotions aside, the experience made me reflect deeply on the importance of community. Our towns and cities can only thrive sustainably when built on kindness, support and a shared sense of togetherness.

Likewise, at Cocorose, we know that we can't grow on our own! And that’s where you come in Word of mouth - and nowadays, the online word of mouth too - is so valuable and it will really help us reach more people who will love what we do.

Some friends recently sent me screenshots of Cocorose being recommended in online forums and Facebook group chats, discussing comfy trainers. Recommendations, 'likes', sharing your Cocorose Moments, reviews and, super importantly, all your orders, really help to fuel our growth. We can't do this alone, and we wouldn't want to either! Cristina @cristinatabun looked fabulous in her Kew eco & vegan trainers and paired them with shorts to soak up the vitamin D 

Many of you will know how much I love the Hoxton Studded trainers, so it's no surprise that I absolutely love how Lena @lena__wro styled hers. She paired her navy trainers with a navy jumpsuit and little white T.

And Sabrina @chicordia was all smiles - and her feet were too! - as they showed off the Clapham Pewter leather loafers.

KEW @ KARAMEL, in Wood Green London

Last week, we were invited by Collage Arts to showcase our Kew collection of eco & vegan trainers at the renowned KARAMEL N22 restaurant, known and loved for their delicious vegan dishes as well as their music, arts and events. Deputy leader of the Green Party, Zack Polanski, was hosting a Policy, Progress & Peas conversation and I was honoured to be involved and have a chance to speak with so many potential customers and explore so many different perspectives💚

Finally - my Top Tip.

The mobile phone is an item we carry around everywhere, its part of us, but I feel we don't value it as we should. Granted mine was quite a few years old, but some of us have phones that would pay a monthly mortgage.

They have great value thieves. Not so much for the resell value they may get, but if they can get your phone when its open they can steal your identify and then potentially 1000's of pounds.

If you are travelling on trains or the underground - try and place them in an inside pocket. Zipped or buttoned if you can. In a pocket on the other side of the traffic flow. Certainly not in a loose outside pocket, and in a open bag.

Looking around me on the street now, I feel the world is split between those who have had their phone snatched and those that have not.

If you have to hold your phone to your ear - hold it to the ear away from the flow of people / traffic. Try to use head phones to talk.

Never "waft" your mobile around on the street as you are trying to follow directions.

They are on scooters and electric bikes and the have it in seconds - and they are gone. With your phone open - ready to access every App and bit of data you have.

Finally think about adding a security code to your SIM too.
