• Double-Cushioned Insoles. Built-in comfort that stays with you all day. Built from the last up, the stack height on our shoes is all in the cushioning of the insoles.
• Premium Leather Uppers & Lining. Soft and breathable leather, designed to move with your foot and age beautifully.
• Handcrafted Excellence. Each pair is a work of craft. It is no exaggeration to say all the leathers are cut by hand - the upper, eyestay, collar, toe caps, tongue and counter sections, all cut precisely by hand.  The pattern sections hand stitched with sewing machines, and the lasted by hand. This is increasingly rare in footwear production. Effectively each pair of gold trainers are unique.
• Responsibly Made. As well as making our shoes in small batches to control the quality and minimise waste in the supply chain. We have always adopted ethical sourcing - small business has too as it helps reduce and control waste. We also support sustainable practices through our recycle scheme, which we have been running for 4 years, and our plant a tree scheme.

How are gold trainers made?

Great question. Gold leaf or gold paint can be used to add a gold finish to leather shoes. We have used both, but the gold paint process involves cleaning of the leather and number of thin coats of gold leather paint are applied. Its a long process and you must allow each coat to dry before applying the next. The number of coats typically is linked to the desired colour depth you are looking for. A seal or sealant can be used to help protect the finish and in some cases enhance its shine.

Definitely. These trainers are polished enough to pair with smart outfits and subtle enough for everyday wear.

Are they made ethically?

Yes. We only work with trusted artisan partners, and our trainers are handmade in small batches using ethically sourced materials.
