Cocorosing It in Las Vegas, USA

That's right, last week Team Cocorose headed across the pond and a bit beyond to Las Vegas, to debut our new collections and launch Cocorose London in USA. We previewed our beautiful new ranges of our foldable ballet pumps, including our Diffusion, Classic Elegance Leather and Luxury Heritage Made in England collections at FN Platform, the shoe show of America. We had an amazing time. The Strip in Vegas is exactly as I imagined, times 100! The hotels situated on The Strip are incredible. The Venetian has gorgeous, intricately designed and painted ceilings and, as if that's not enough to make you feel as if you're in Venice, there is an actual "river" flowing through the hotel and you can even have a gondola trip! The Bellagio hotel has a beautiful fountain display and The Wynn hotel is, well, it is way and beyond a "normal" hotel. With a stunning waterfall feature, casino, theatre and designer shopping arcade impeccably lined with Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuiton, Chanel, Cartier, Manolo Blahnik, Dior Men, Dior Women, and the rest, this is the epitome of shopping, Vegas style! And I haven't even mentioned The Palazzo, Caesar's and new boutique hotel The Cosmopolitan. We stayed in the 5* Trump hotel, situated just off of the strip, with no casino, fancy dan shops or theatres. There is however, an amazing pool and spa, superb service and did I mention the plasma tv in the bathroom mirror? Brilliant. To top it off, The Trump is right opposite Nordstrom, which leads onto Saks, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales, all with their amazing shopping. I tried on a pair of Prada shoes and I must admit, Joe was the fantastic sales man, incredibly attentive and polite, who almost managed to sell me the shoes despite the hefty price tag. I'm blaming the Las Vegas desert heat... even though everyone knows the small fact that EVERYWHERE in Vegas is ice cold indoors. We did gamble, but set ourselves a strict budget which I can safely say was peanuts compared to our American and international cousins splashing around $100 bills. Needless to say, we didn't last 5 minutes on the Roulette table... So onto work. FN Platform, the shoe show for the trade, was our "base" and home away from the Trump for the majority of our time in Vegas. Thank you FN Platform team, for making us feel so welcome at the show and for inviting us Brits to take part! We loved it! Being part of the British Footwear Association has its perks, and the BFA designed a beautiful English shoe garden which was right at the entrance of the show. A champagne fuelled toast followed by a ginormous cake topped it all off and helped to celebrate the best in British footwear.
