Spotlight On...Proudlock & Harry

P&H1

This month the spotlight is on Proudlock & Harry - an original and innovative store in Norwich. We asked the team a few questions about their store and here's what they had to say... When did you open Proudlock and Harry and why? Proudlock and Harry opened in September 2013. The store is the concept of Clare Louise Angel, based on her experience of the retail sector in locations as diverse as Norwich, Dublin and The Caymen Islands. The store is the culmination of Clare’s ambition to own her own retail outlet. Is there a particular look that you wanted to achieve in your store? Yes! The boutique is a response to the often uniform look on our town and cities high streets today. It is opulent in its appearance and stands out for the beautiful products it offers to its customers. The store is designed to look very feminine and is based on a Boudoir theme, epitomised by the Chandelier that once graced a chateaux in the south of France. What do you feel makes Proudlock and Harry special? We are very proud when customers tell us how beautiful the boutique and its products are and that there is nothing else in Norwich like Proudlock and Harry. What makes the store special is the quality and the style of the products we sell and the customer service that shoppers can expect to receive from us. That and the fitting room which is designed to give the look and feel of a real boudoir and means the shopper has the whole first floor to themselves when trying on outfits or accessories. What are your current favourite fashion items from your store? Cocorose London of course! We fell in love with the brand when we first saw them at the Pulse exhibition and knew they would be incredibly popular and that’s been proven to be just the case. One of our other favourite pieces is definitely the Milla bra from Lacivious, worn by fashion icons such as Rhianna and can be worn as traditional lingerie or as outerwear.

What are your favourite Cocorose London ballet pumps? The ‘Alice’ pumps are just beautiful and always grab the attention of customers. What are the essentials every woman needs in their wardrobe this season? With winter fast approaching a must have for a cosy night in is a pair of knitted booties from Samantha Holmes and nothing beats watching X factor in an Ayten Gasson baby doll, knickers and bed jacket with a glass of wine. The must have pair of Cocorose London is Pimlico Black!   Cocorose London would like to say a special thank you to Gary at Proudlock and Harry for taking the time to answer these questions.
