Behind The Scenes - The Venue
Last week Cocorose London travelled to Mayfair to shoot our Spring Summer 2013 collection, and whilst we were there we also shot a few Autumn Winter looks too! The Venue for our glossy shoot was a breath-takingly beautiful flat in Mayfair. We were so pleased to be able to use this incredible home for our shoot and can’t wait for you guys to see the finished pictures. This blog post is going to give you a sneak peek of just some of the fantastic scenery included in our sleek photo-shoot. Our day began in this stunning hallway. We love the way that it looks like it could be a scene from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The huge monochrome diamond flooring reminded us of giant playing cards and the very high ceilings made us feel as though we may have been transported to Wonderland ourselves! This was perfect as one of the shoes that we were photographing was our ‘Alice’ shoe that was inspired by The Royal Ballet’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. 
One of the most striking features about the venue was the incredible light fixtures. Look at this astonishing piece that was in the Dining Room, a lavish feature that draws the whole room together. And this stunning one above the staircase that, even in all its luxury, fits perfectly with the simplistic glass staircase. 
Another room that we fell in lust with was the huge sitting room. Not only did it have a Grand Piano but also some intriguing art pieces and an array of beautiful books. What was interesting about this room was the way it felt cosy, homely and warm (with the help of a fireplace) even though it was such a big space. It had a real welcoming vibe and would be the perfect place to settle down with a good cup of tea, which is (almost…) exactly what our model did.
