You may think red shoes can be difficult to pull off, but we think they can be teamed with pretty much anything. Our lovely Elodie has teamed her Cocorose London Classic Leather Hampton Courts with what we like to call ‘Parisian Chic’ styling-a navy polka dot dress, cinched in with a cute red waist belt.

A celebration of his key works which span twenty years the retrospective runs from now up until the 9th September. With over seventy works ranging from the bizarre to the brilliant, (although the jury’s out in the office on this one), this is an exhibition not to be missed.

Artworks include a room brimming with live beautiful butterflies (yes real ones!) fluttering around and feeding from fruit, but don’t worry there are staff on hand to check you don’t walk away with a butterfly or two. There is also the rather macabre art-work ‘A Thousand Years’ which features a rotting cows head and flies…look away if your squeamish!

You’ll also be able to see one of Hirst’s most recognisable and famous works ‘The Physical Impossiblity of Death in The Mind of Someone Living’ which features a shark encased in a box of formaldehyde.

We were very pleased to come into the office this morning and find six lovely and delicious Red Velvet cupcakes waiting for us. With cream cheese frosting, a sprinkling of coconut and a cute pink rose, they really are Cocorose Cupcakes!

They were so scrumptious we just had to share some snaps…

Fashion Label Romance was Born kicked off proceedings on the 30th April. Described as ‘creative bowerbirds’ with the ability to create a ’fashion wonderland’, the duo’s Comic book inspired collection certainly didn’t disappoint.

A comic book geek’s fantasy became a reality when the catwalk turned into a pop up scene, and stunning super-herione esque girls with flame red hair, strutted their stuff down the catwalk. With bright pop colours, structured shapes and strong graphic prints, this collection was the epitome of a Marvel comic. And funnily enough the collection was produced in association with the much loved and celebrated comic book.

Colour POP!

In complete contrast, bridal wear designer Mariana Hardwick showcased her HARDWICK Collection on the 2nd May. Featuring beautifully intricate lace and leather, in delicate metallic and nude shades, the garments are the ultimate in feminity. Taking inspiration from mother nature and Australia’s awe-inspiring ‘landscape’, the dresses certainly wouldn’t look out of place on the red carpet,  and we certainly wouldn’t mind owning one (or two!) ourselves.

Featuring spectacular special effects, live actors, acrobats and fantastically designed puppets all underneath one huge tent, it’s sure to be a visual treat for the senses.

Being held from the 22nd to 26th May at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, there are only 21 days to go until the big day.

hmm...we wonder if there's a Cocorose?

With a new selection of spectacular show gardens, such as The Daily Telegraph garden which uses ‘atmospheric planting and natural stone’, The Chelsea Flower Show is a lovely place to have a wander and be inspired by the colourful and some what unusual blooms and plants on offer.

Also on show are the quaint and charming Artisan gardens. Small and intimate, these gardens make artistic use of their materials. Last year the Hae-Woo-So garden, designed by Jihae Hwang, featured a rather lovely looking lavatory as the main element,so it’ll be interesting to see what this years offering will be…

And since the show is somewhat large, we’re going to be uber stylish and sensible enough to Cocorose It.

Christian Louboutin caused quite a stir  when he uttered these words in an interview for Grazia magazine last week. While Mr Louboutin may not have much sympathy for glamorous shoeistas, we certainly do, that’s while we’ll be Cocorosing It to Louboutin’s fabulous shoe exhibition at The Design Museum.

Being held from the 1st May to 9th June, the exhibition will be a secretive peep into the wonderful world of Christian Louboutin along with a retrospective look back into 20 years worth of  shoe design and inspiration.

His trademark red soled stiletto’s, created from a bottle of red nail varnish when Louboutin was unimpressed with heels that arrived back from his factory, will of course be making an appearance. In fact, there will be a whole catwalk dedicated to the wickedly red sole, with a deliciously added extra, that of the beautiful Dita Von Teese in hologram form!
