Yesterday I Cocorosed It in Melbourne (again!)...

Most of my clothes and accessories have a story to tell, and I love remembering bits of the stories as I root around in my wardrobe and pick out something to wear. This skirt that I'm wearing, for example, reminds me of my very first trip to New York City with my good friend Bean. It must have been about 10 years ago by now and we were only going for a long weekend. What a nightmare then, that I missed the flight and so Bean had to go on her own whilst I waited around as Standby. Finally arriving in The Big Apple, and finally reunited with Beanie, we had a fabulous shopping extravaganza in knee-high, freezing snow and I picked up this skirt from Diane von Furstenburg's sample sale for like, $20! I absolutely love it, and have worn it every summer since then. Yesterday I paired it with my Cocorose London Melbourne Sensation foldable ballet pumps as I love combining green and blue shades for a summery look and feel.
Yesterday we had a meeting at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, which is such a lovely venue and has a great cafe overlooking the Paul Hamlyn Hall. Unfortunately I didn't realise the cafe was closing early on the day - I think if I was on The Apprentice, Lord Sugar would have had reason to fire me for not finding out opening hours! There are plenty of places around Covent Garden to grab a coffee though, so perhaps I would have been allowed back to the house afterall, if indeed I fought my corner!
