'Cocorosing It' to Taste of London!

We're real foodies here at Cocorose HQ and what better way to try new flavours, meet our favourite chefs (Michel Roux!) and hone our wine connoisseurship then at the Taste of London Festival. So we did just that this weekend (Saturday 23rd June) and 'Cocorosed It' (natch) to Regent's Park, London where the festival was being held. So while our feet were uberly comfortable in our foldable ballet pumps our tums were grumbling wildly, but before we could get our mitts on some delicious grub we had to change our great British pounds and pennies into 'Crowns', the official currency of the event.   So with our pockets jingling full of 'Crowns' we skipped (well practically ran) to Italian restaurant Theo Randall's and devoured our pan-fried scallops, which looked like a work of art, served beautifully in their shells. We also went very British and tried Rhodes 24 (yes that's celebrated chef Gary Rhodes restaurant!) braised lamb with camarelised onion, which was very flavoursome and tasty indeed. And then to top it all off we made a visit to Yauatcha's stand, a Chinese teahouse based in trendy Soho, and sampled their 'Icon Dish' 'Yauatcha petit gateaux' that's raspberry and chocolate cake heaven, to me and you. And to top it all off the 'petit gateaux' looked just like a rose! The perfect end to the perfect day.     Sadly, the Taste of London Festival is now over but keep an eye on their website HERE for news on next years event!
