London. As one of the world's most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities, it's no wonder that our capital is a source of inspiration, from technology and entrepreneurial start-ups to art, fashion and film. Drawing on our own London roots, we've named each of our shoes after some of our favourite areas, from Bayswater to Shoreditch and Kensington to Hampstead.

Let us take you on a tour of London with the latest in our series of blog posts that will explore the different areas our city has to offer. We hope we will inspire you to pick up your Oyster card, slip on your Cocorose shoes and see what our amazing city has to offer you. #LondonUnfolded

Kicking off with one of our best-selling styles, our Clapham loafers, we embark on our journey to Clapham, situated just south of the river Thames.

Clapham has recently become synonymous with a hip and urban scene, home to young professionals and families alike.

With a vibrant bar and restaurant scene, there's an array of choice to whet your appetites, whether it be an intimate dinner for two at four o nine or a hip and happening evening with the girls at WC - Wine and Charcuterie. Speaking of the latter, WC is home to one of Clapham's trendiest kicks, located in a 100 year old listed former water closet. How very British indeed and perhaps not something to think about when your Black Pudding Scotch Egg and glass of wine is served.

For a more casual approach to the liquid diet (with premium craft beers, mind), Windmill on the Common claims to have London's biggest beer garden (it is situated in Clapham Common, afterall) and whilst we're in the habit of treating ourselves, it's well worth a trip to Madeleine, for some French inspired fruit tarts and ice cream.

Clapham may however, be best known for Clapham Common, an oasis of calm and greenery amidst the busy traffic of south west London. It's a huge space, and houses a range of sporting facilities including a running track, cricket and football pitches and a skateboard venue. If you're not in a sporty mood, that's perfectly fine too. Why not take a stroll over to the Holy Trinity Clapham, an 18th century Georgian church overlooking the park, or visit the bandstand, a Grade II listed building, right in the centre of Clapham Common?

Did you know that Clapham Common is also home to three ponds and it even hosts its own summer music festival? If you're just after a lazy Sunday, there will no doubt be a space of green with your name on it, for a picnic or lie down in the sun. Just take your Claphams with you and #CocoroseIt in Clapham Common.
